Vincent Nubla, PhD, LMFT
Dr. Vince Nubla, PhD, LMFT–known as “Dr. Vince” in the community – is a licensed mental health therapist who has over 25 years of experience treating adults, teens, and children. He has dedicated his practice to treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and other emotional disorders. He offers various treatments options, such as EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Behavioral Health Education. Dr. Vince also works with couples to improve their affection, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Dr. Vince holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy. He has worked in various capacities in the mental health field: they include supervising mental health programs, providing treatment in clinics, schools, and in clients’ homes; teaching in universities, and training other professionals in the field towards State licensure. Dr. Vince is fluent in both English and Filipino.
Dr. Vince has personally benefited from EMDR. Not only is he a treatment provider… Dr. Vince is also a “survivor”!! Experiencing PTSD symptoms while in his first year in college and undergoing EMDR successfully, Dr. Vince quickly changed his major from Business to Psychology. He told himself, “I’m going to learn this technique and use it to help other people.” He has been doing it passionately and driving home after work with a big smile and a warm heart. Dr. Vince knows how EMDR works from both sides.
Understanding what motivates people from different cultures to maintain their emotional well-being is another passion of Dr. Vince. He has traveled to different rural provinces in Asia to meet with people to study this and shares his findings in supervision groups that he leads.
Dr. Vince practices mindfulness by journaling, exercising, scuba diving, and keeping his work-family-self life nurtured and balanced.
What Our Community Are Saying
If you were looking for someone who's going to be kind, empathic, really listen to you, and help you to achieve all of your health and wellness goals, this is the place! I couldn't recommend Jessica Brazil any more highly. Call!
Natalie and Jessie are wise and I am so grateful to have shared space with them. I highly recommend joining any programs they offer and/or seeking them out for therapy.
I have worked professionally for this group and find them to be a great resource for the community. They have excellent therapists, and I love their community offerings like the full moon and new moon meditations.
I have the most profound sessions with Arica Keyser using ART to clear PTSD and even just little t traumas that have occurred. I am amazed at how this modality has shifted each trauma with just one session each.
Having been in healthcare for 18 years, I am very aware that I have experienced a lot of trauma especially during covid. I love this therapy as I don't need to talk about it outloud, and she repeats how my brain knows what to do while utilizing a script and eye movement. It works within just one session and is extremely empowering!
I highly recommend for anyone with PTSD or just needing to clear experiences that have had an impact on life!!!!!
I am able to cope so much better that I actually got on a bus for the first time in 35 years. I have also started on the road to forgiveness and letting my family back into my life for the 1st time in 20+ years. I still have a long ways to go but in the short time we have worked together, Dr Nubla and the 5-AMDR treatment has helped greatly.
Mindful Living Group has been a generative member of the Maui community, particularly since the August 2024 wildfires. They have also been critical in bringing Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to the people of Maui, allowing countless clients to experience rapid, effective trauma relief. Mahalo nui to the MLG team!
Grateful that Mindful Living Group has produced a Kundalini Yoga series in 4 sessions once per week. Tonight is session four and already excited to learn there will be another series available soon. The outdoor space is cool and breezy with beautiful plumeria flowers gently falling. Jessica Brazil is a good teacher and the sound bath she creates with crystal bowls at the end is very relaxing while we are in Savasana.
Take the next step toward healing.
