Psychospiritual Therapy & Spiritual Counseling

Psychospiritual therapy integrates clinical psychotherapy with spiritual exploration, supporting people through grief, crises of faith, existential questions, non-ordinary consciousness experiences, and life transitions. Spiritual Counseling focuses more exclusively on the cultivation and expansion of awareness with the sacred realms of consciousness.

What Is Psychospiritual Therapy?

Psychospiritual therapy makes room for the spiritual side of life, alongside mental and emotional wellbeing. It can help when questions about meaning, purpose, grief, faith, identity, or major life changes are part of what you are going through.

Sessions use established therapy approaches while giving space to explore experiences that may not fit neatly into traditional therapy, such as a crisis of faith, existential fear, a near-death experience, ancestral connection or a “dark night of the soul.”

You do not need to follow a religion or hold any particular spiritual belief. Our providers approach this work without judgment or bias, following your own beliefs, values, culture and relationship with meaning. Psychospiritual therapy is trauma-informed, culturally inclusive and grounded in clinical training.

Integrating Psychology, Spirituality & Healing

Explore Your Spirituality

This work holds the clinical and the spiritual in the same room, treating meaning, mortality and the sacred as topics to explore with the same seriousness as any other presenting symptom.

Support With Life Transitions

Divorce, loss, illness, retirement and approaching the end of life all raise questions that reach beyond symptom relief and this service offers a place to explore them.

Cultivation of Consciousness

Meaning making from experiences with the mystical or non-ordinary realms of consciousness, cultivation of rooting, alignment, expansion, and relationship with the sacred, and more.

Inclusive of Every Tradition

People of all faiths, of shifting or uncertain belief and of no religious or spiritual traditions are equally at home here, with your own framework guiding the direction of the work.

Practices Drawn On in Session

Depending on what serves you, sessions may include contemplative practice, somatic awareness, ritual, guided reflection, dream work or earth-based approaches, always chosen collaboratively rather than prescribed by your provider.

Is Psychospiritual Therapy Right for You?

  • Are you going through a loss, change or difficult experience that has left you questioning your purpose or what comes next?
  • Do questions about faith, spirituality, mortality or meaning feel important to what you are going through?
  • Have you had an experience that feels hard to explain or talk about in traditional therapy?
  • Do you want therapy that makes space for your spiritual beliefs, cultural background or personal values?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, our psychospiritual therapists are ready to help you.
