Nancy is a licensed mental health counselor in Hawaii, with over 20 years of experience as a psychotherapist and mental health counselor working with individuals, couples, and families in diverse populations. She graduated from Antioch University in Seattle, WA and was a licensed therapist in WA, and has worked in community mental health on Maui. Her current focus is with individuals (18 yrs. and older). She has worked with a broad spectrum of emotional problems that affect mental health and has a perspective that includes the interconnectedness of body, mind and spirit.

It is her intention to meet you where you are, engaging in this important work. She can assist you in clearing past issues impacting your current well-being so that you may re-claim joy, peace, and meaning in your life. Whatever your goals are, she can co-create a way of working together that best suits your needs. With guidance and tools for healing, self-empowerment, and success, you will undoubtedly move toward a healthier happier life.

Nancy honors your uniqueness and approaches this work together with curiosity. She is committed to providing a safe, respectful, empathic, nonjudgmental setting to explore your issues together. Distress can be lessened with effective strategies and new skills. Her specialized, client-centered approach allows for a connection with clients where there is a focus on insight, goals and change. You can learn to overcome fears, worry, and discouraged moods, as well as to manage stress more effectively.

Being a part of your journey whether we meet for one session or many is a privilege for her. Nancy loves doing this work and strives to bring integrative treatment modalities such as Cognitive-behavioral/Mindfulness based practices, Narrative therapy, EMDR (eye movement and desensitization reprocessing), EFT (emotional freedom techniques), and solution focused therapy, suited for your needs.

Nancy utilizes mindfulness practices daily, which to her mean conscious awareness of the present and staying present, regardless of the activity. Using the present wisely helps with stress, healing, and allows inner wisdom to be more accessible. Yoga and meditation are also helpful practices for her. For fun Nancy enjoys time with others, nature walks, hikes, and hanging out with her twin grandchildren.

Mahalo to Mindful Living Group for offering amazing events and profound opportunities for learning, growing, and healing. I just completed the Love Heals class with Kahu Kahealani and this experience has been nothing short of life changing! I cannot recommend Love Heals enough- actually all of the events I have gone to from Mindful Living Group have been top notch, and a great source of healing inspiration for me on this journey of life. Mahalo nui loa to Kahu Kahealani and MLG!

Mindful Living Group provides so many wonderful services for individuals. I felt comfortable from the beginning and like they cared about needs. I highly recommend anyone struggling with stress, anxiety, trauma, and just life in general to reach out because they have solutions to help!

Mindful Living Group has already helped me a lot with controlling my nervous system and I have only been with them for about four months. Excited to keep working with Mindful Living Group!

Then I tried Art with Jessica Brazil, and in the last six months I have seen exponential transformation in my life specifically in the areas we worked on -relationships and wealth. I had the great blessing of working with another therapist previously also at the mindful living group, and she blew my mind with all of her insights into patterns from my childhood that were still affecting my relationships. Their staff is very knowledgeable and compassionate. They offer a lot of cutting edge and effective practices.

Aumakua Kava Lounge

I have worked professionally for this group and find them to be a great resource for the community. They have excellent therapists, and I love their community offerings like the full moon and new moon meditations.

Through this sacred journey I was able to make profound shifts - and know I will continue to integrate what I have learned for years to come. So blessed for Dr. Kahu Kahealani, her compassion, wisdom and dedication. For holding us accountable to do "the work" so that we can all remember and come home to the light we all hold.

I went here a few years ago and recently my daughter did as well. It was the BEST experience of my life. I don't know how Mindful Living Group's team do it but they're masters at their work. I've been in therapy for most of my life and have never before made such bounds and stride with confidence, stamina, and pure bliss in my life. No words can express how much I appreciate this practice.
