Joanne King, LMHC developed this simple healthy lifestyle program about obtaining your optimum body weight without dieting. She grew up in an Italian family from New Jersey, where food was always at the forefront of dinners and social gatherings. Food was the underpinning of everything we did on Sundays, holidays and family get-togethers. Almost everyone in Joanne’s family was always on a diet, trying to lose weight from all the pasta, cannoli’s, tiramisu and other Italian delicacies they ate regularly.
But Here’s The Thing, Diets Don’t Work.
Family members suffered trying to lose weight and keep it off. Many of them had high blood pressure, diabetes and depression from being overweight, and the worst part was she lost 3 of her closest family members to complications from these diseases. Joanne made it her mission to help her family and others lose weight and keep it off but not by dieting.

During her work in psychotherapy and personal coaching, Joanne has helped empower countless men and women to transform their lives for the better. Joanne also noticed a trend where food was involved, with many of her client’s being overweight and unhappy. They were emotionally eating to self-soothe when they were sad, anxious, lonely or to relieve stress.
Joanne knew there had to be a better way, and that’s why she developed a simple, yet comprehensive program called Ditch The Diet. It is About Obtaining Your Optimum Body Weight Without Dieting. It’s a simple program that will help you to nourish your body and release your struggle around food. You’ll become aware of your thoughts, feelings and beliefs so you can change your relationship with food. The program also addresses the self-talk that accompanies eating and dieting and the food choices that are made. One of the goals is to become acquainted again with the natural physiological responses of the body that govern eating regulation.
