Developing a mindfulness meditation practice is a powerful way to help control the daily stress that is a part of so many of our lives. Chronic stress is linked with the development of many health issues, and it’s on the rise.
Practicing mindfulness will help you to find focus, feel peace, and uncover your inner super power. Engage the power of present moment awareness to help increase your own well-being.
This six-week online course has been created to help you learn the fundamental basics of mindfulness through live classes, reflections, guided meditation, breath work, and movement practices.
Mindfulness benefits include:
Decreased negative affect (ie: depression, anxiety)
Less emotional reactivity/more effective emotion regulation
More cognitive flexibility
Classes will include:
Techniques to learn and practice mindfulness with integration into daily life
Mindfulness practice and skills to engage in present moment awareness
Strategies to facilitate responding versus reacting when intense emotions arise
Mindfulness role in communication, connection and interaction with others
Mindfulness practices that cultivate positive mind states including but not limited to kindness, gratitude, joy, and compassion towards self and others
The course is for beginner’s but certainly anyone with a current mindfulness practice will find the course extremely worthwhile and valuable. Each session is approximately 90 minutes in length depending on the topic.
I also invite you to join this course if you are curious and would like to practice and learn mindfulness skills. Studies indicate for therapists it aids in increasing empathy, compassion, counseling skills, while decreasing stress and anxiety.
