She has a Masters degree from Prescott College in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a specialization in body centered mindfulness. She also holds several certifications in various forms of yoga and meditation practices. She is a Kundalini Yoga Master teacher and a Mindfulness meditation teacher. Neenel has advanced training in trauma treatment, mindfulness CBT, and child centered play therapy.
Neenel’s professional experience includes serving individuals with mental health needs, youth and families seeking to address behavioral issues, ADHD, ODD, anxiety, depression, loss, separation, addiction, and reunification. She is also experienced at working with couples in monogamous and polyamorous relationships, as well as individuals seeking support in better understanding themselves and ways to navigate life.
Her therapy style is heart centered and supportive. Through a process of compassionate inquiry Neenel offers clients an opportunity to gain understanding and a fresh perspective to their specific areas of concern. Neenel guides clients to connect with their inner wisdom, helping them find new and creative ways to address their current challenges. When working with Neenel, clients also benefit from learning to develop a more loving relationship with themselves and with others.
When she is not working or helping to take care of her family, Neenel finds time to nurture her playful inner child. She loves long boarding, spending time in nature, and cooking. She also enjoys a daily yoga and meditation practice to clear her mind and connect her with her heart. Developing an inspirational and sustainable self care practice is something that Neenel values and hopes to share with her clients.
