Laurie’s intention is to create a safe, non-judgmental, creative, humor-welcoming environment for you to heal and explore the deepest parts of yourself in. Her approach to therapy is taking a journey with you, while supporting your goals and needs, and cultivating greater self-awareness. She combines an eclectic array of therapeutic modalities to aid you in discovering ease in their inner distress and emotional blockages, enabling deep wellbeing and fulfillment.

With over 21 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Missoula, Montana, Laurie relocated to Hawaii to be closer to family and her passion for the ocean. Areas of expertise include Clinical Art Therapy and implementation of expressive modalities to reveal unconscious thoughts, behavioral patterns, and blockages to self-discovery. The practice of creativity has the potential to reveal and disintegrate blockages, allowing for individuals to live their most wonderful, fulfilling lives!

Laurie is well-versed in the use of EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing)/Trauma Recovery, Anger Management, non-violent communication, cognitive-behavioral therapy, meditation, breath work, yoga relaxation techniques, as well as shamanic healing approaches. As a cancer survivor herself, Laurie is well suited for cancer & illness lifestyle coaching, aging/life transitions, dating for seniors, and revamping pantries for the ultimate healthy lifestyle! She is solution-focused, accommodating, and compassionate, adapting her therapeutic approach on an individual basis.

Hobbies include painting, playing music, anything in the ocean, family time, and cooking. Her mindfulness practice includes two daily 45-minutes sessions of yoga and meditation. Her passion is helping people access a fuller and more meaningful life.
