Ann Van Patten, LMFT

Individual & Family Therapist

(808) 206-9371

Yes, you can create an authentic and vibrant life! You can start showing up for yourself, your partner and your family. You can find peace and joy in the journey. You can feel all your feelings and know you are enough. Whether its anxiety, depression, relationship challenges or past trauma that you are stuck in, there is a way out.

Ann Van Patten, LMFT is a licensed psychotherapist with over 12 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families. She has a Master’s Degree from Lewis & Clark College in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in treating Children, Adolescents, and families. Ann has been licensed in the state of Hawaii since 2010. She has advanced trainings in couples therapy, trauma treatment and yoga/mindfulness practices. Brain spotting and Trauma-focused CBT are two tools she utilizes to support clients healing. Her style is heart-centered and compassionate, as well as directive. She supports clients to create new ways of interacting with themselves and others, learning to be present in their lives and gain perspective on challenges. Individual clients benefit from her keen ability to listen and ask thoughtful questions that guide their process in therapy.

Ann works with couples at any and all stages of relationship. Whether you are just beginning or fear that you may be ending, counseling can create awareness and peace to ease fears that accompany these difficult waters. Strengthening relationships, learning to effectively manage stress and conflict, and sharing a deeper connection are results couples have experienced through our work together. She’s passionate about helping couples with the transition into parenting, growing families and supporting a strong connected family.

Ann makes time in her busy life as a Mom and therapist, for yoga, running and daily reflection/meditation. Self-care, lovingkindness and compassion are a path she follows and hope to open for others.
